This is a FanFic that Ko-chan and I are writing based on the 'Mermaid Saga.'

It was dark outside, the velvety sky seemed to go on forever. Yuta looked up with ageless eyes and gazed into the stars. Mana was at the sea-shore, her bare feet on the course sand and broken shells. The salty air blew, separating locks of her dark hair.

Yuta came from behind her and wrapped his arms gently around her frail waist. He rested his head lightly on her shoulders and looked out to the sea with her. The ocean glistened in the cold light of the silver moon. Curls from the remains of waves end and crash to the shore, the foam slightly lingering on the sand.

Mana was silent as she stared, brushing her hands lightly along his. Yuta looked down at Mana's ankles, though they were as porcelain, there were two scars that still remained. They glowed a faint, angry red, circling around her slender and dainty ankles. Scars from crazed women that had bound her feet ever since she could remember. Every cut, every gash and scrape would disappear from Mana's skin almost immediatly, as if they had never been there in the first place, but these scars would remain.

"Will you stay with me, Mana?" Yuta snuggled his head in toward Mana's neck.

After a slight pause as Mana studied the last falling wave, Mana answered, "Yes."

"Forever?"

Mana shook her head slightly and whispered, "Yes."

Yuta was happy; he had gone through another lover before, Mana, but only to see her mortal body succumb to the ages. Yuta had saved Mana from many captures who longed for her beautiful, immortal body. But she had also saved him in a way that wasn't easily spoken. Mana had saved Yuta from himself, from the endless lonliness of the on-going years.

Yuta gently turned Mana's head toward his and he looked into her grey eyes. He sweetly kissed her soft, pink lips, she kissed him in return and turned slowly to face him.

Yuta could hardly remember what love felt like. His wife was dead for hundreds of years now, he had loved her, atleast a little bit, he could remember that. Did he love Mana? Of course he did. When Yuta looked at Mana, a great serenity moved over him, and he was happy.

Mana had a wild and curious spirit, but she seemed to calm little by little in the passing months.

"Thank-you," Mana whispered, her breath as soft as rose-petals on his cheek.

He released her slightly and smiled, "For what?"

Her face darkened the slightest bit, "For saving me from those sea-hags." Spite licked at the edge of her tongue as she spoke. Yuta chuckled slightly.

"Yes-well they ripped my only shirt without holes in it with those harpoons."

Mana giggled in her girlish way and Yuta pressed her head to his chest and wrapped his arms around her back. He would never let go of her. Never.

Mana was never really happy. Not until she met Yuta. Before she had never seen the outside, unless one of the old women carried her outside. Yuta had saved her and now she was with him.

She remembered hearing faint murmurig in the little wooded villiage she had been trapped in. Whispers and mutterings of mermaids. Women of the sea. Beautiful when you first looked at them. But vicious, ugly and cruel when you took a closer look.

By being fed the flesh of a mermaid, Mana had become immortal. How long would immortality last before she grew sick and tired of it? Yuta would deal with it in his own way. Meeting other-companions and seeking thrills and adventures in war or in different and strange villiages. What would Mana do? Join him she supposed.

There was a small purring and sound and she looked down. It was the little, furry four-legged creature Mana had found called "cat."

"Oh, there you are!" Mana scooped up the cat and scratched under it's neck. Mana had been in the grassy front of a hotel that her and  Yuta were staying at.

Mana hid the cat under her hooded sweat-shirt and walked back into the hotel-she wasn't sure if the people at the front desk would appreciate her new friend. Mana took the elevator up to the floor with their room. She walked down the musty hallway and stopped at room 116, she rememered she did not have a key so she knocked.

A deep, male voice called from within, "Yes?"

"Yuta! Let me in!" The cat Mana had hidden under her shirt was getting restless and started pawing at her stomach. There were footsteos and the door opened to reveal Yuta standing infront of her. His hair was slightly ruffled as usual. His eyes looked intense, like he was just contemplating something. He smiled and his eyes sparkled, he was wearing a pair of loos-fitting jeans and his chest was bare.

"Were you napping?" Mana asked.

"Yes, I was, come in." He opened the door wide to invite her inside.

"Look what I found!" Mana sat on the bed and leaned back, lifting up her hoodie enough to let the feline out from it's confines.

"I found Cat, Yuta!" Yuta smiled and with a concerned look, pointed out the scratches on her stomach, "But look at what it did to you."

He touched her stomach lightly, but as he did the small cuts disapeared, but the little bit of blood still remained. Mana shrugged, took a tissue from the bed-side table and whiped up the remainder.

(That's what Ko-chan and I have so far. There is going to be more to the story that we have planned out and are perfecting at the moment. I will post more of the story here or give the website where we are putting the whole FanFic. I hoped you like it! And for those who haven't read the 'Mermaid Saga,' sorry if you might have gotten a bit lost and I strongly suggest reading it. Don't worry, I have only read the first one myself, I haven't gotten to the second one yet, but I love it!)
